How to analyze your Marketing Dashboard for insights into your account

When you first sign in to your account, you will be met with the Marketing Dashboard. Below, we will tell you how to use this dashboard to keep a pulse check on your account and break down each section.

Next, we'll explain what each section in the above screenshot is referring to / how it is configured, but I wanted to highlight a few sections first. Namely, Email Reputation and the stats below it on the right-hand side.

Your email reputation will fluctuate as you send campaigns from your account - so keep an eye on it and if you see a noticeable decline, be sure to review your most recent campaigns to see if you notice a trend.

You'll also want to watch the metrics for Contacts Engaged via SMS/Email to make sure you aren't going over your set limits for the month. Those can be reviewed from Settings - My Billing.

For each of these metrics, keep in mind the date filter so you know what time period you are working with.

Now let's discuss the rest of these items.

Total Contacts: This is the total number of contacts in your account. The smaller number shows the percentage of growth for the designated period compared to the previous period.

New Contacts: This is the total number of new contacts that were added to your account for the designated period (default is Last 30 days). The smaller number shows the percentage of growth for the designated period compared to the previous period.

Total Campaigns: This is the total number of Ongoing campaigns you have running at during the designated time period, for both Email and SMS.

Total Suppressed: 'Suppressed' refers to uses who either opted-out of messages, bounced, or were otherwise removed from receiving future campaigns.

Total Reach: This is the total number of valid contacts you can reach in your account.

Reach via Email: This is the percentage of total contacts in your account that can be reached by email.

Reach via SMS: This is the percentage of total contacts in your account that can be reached by SMS.

Campaigns: This shows the names and some stats for the ongoing campaigns in the period you are viewing. You can see if the campaigns are SMS or email based on the symbol next to the campaign.

Email Reputation: Gleantap provides this helpful metric in order for you to see how your domain's reputation fluctuates based on the responses to your campaigns. As long as you observe email marketing best practices and send campaigns consistently, your score should stay around and 8 or 9, but if you see small fluctuations, that is perfectly normal.

Contacts Engaged: For the given time period, this shows the total number of unique contacts that were reached via both SMS and email for the time period.

Contacts Engaged with SMS: For the given time period, this shows the total number of unique contacts that were reached via SMS for the time period.

Contacts Engaged with Email: For the given time period, this shows the total number of unique contacts that were reached via email for the time period.

Moving down to the lower section of the marketing dashboard, these metrics will start to generate as you use your account and can offer helpful insights into your audience.
